403WORLD

403 World Online

An original online game in the 403 universe, developed in stages using our existing server and browser-client foundation. This document describes the plan; it does not claim the new game is already playable.

A distinct identity

The new game will use original player art, environments, buildings, NPCs and stories created for the 403 setting. Existing EO worlds are not being renamed into this project or reset to create it. Monument and Legacy continue as EOWorld.

Technical foundation

The project starts from the server and web client we already operate. Reuse makes it possible to focus effort on the original world, while preserving relevant software licenses and credits. New assets must be tracked with their source, usage rights, frame specifications and approval status.

Art and compatibility

A consistent art specification comes before mass production. Player frames need defined sizes and anchors; equipment must fit the actual animations. Tiles and objects need compatible map layers, collision and occlusion. Visual proofs must come from the real renderer rather than an unrelated concept image.

The first playable milestone

The first deliverable is a compact original location with a character, a few NPCs, one complete quest, basic combat and inventory. Desktop and mobile interaction, loading and audio are part of that milestone. Expansion follows successful playtesting, not simply the existence of art files.

Live-world separation

The new game gets its own deployment and player data. Development and tests must not overwrite EOWorld's production content. Releases need rollback plans and checks for security, performance and data integrity.

Community and scope

We will share progress through this site and Discord. Features such as life skills, parties, housing and instances will be evaluated for the new game's design. Dates, monetization and the final feature list remain undecided; there are no investment, token or financial promises in this project.
